I've often thought about what a best friend is to me.
I have friends and I have good friends....then there is the BFF. A lot of women consider their husband their best friend. My husband is my good friend, but he isn't my best friend....a best friend, to me, is someone whom I can share everything with and I can't share my frustrations about him with him! And my husband doesn't want to hear my PMS woes or about some television show I may like to watch where one of the characters is super good looking! Every woman needs a best friend (even if it is a male) to whom she can pour her heart out to about anything and that includes any relationship she is in. * For those who may get offended at the husband comment....your husband certainly can be your best friend, I'm just saying that mine is not...he is my true friend and I love our friendship but I am glad I have two girlfriends who are my BFFs *
What do I consider “best friend” material? Easy.
~I know she will “be there” for me no matter what the hour
~I can be completely honest with her – about anything and everything
~She never tries to change me, only loves me and accept me for who I am
~She encourages me for positive changes I make in my life
~She encourages me to go after my dreams and goals
~She offers advice in love and accepts whatever decision I make
~We can get into an argument and/or disagree yet still love each other
Everyone should have at least one best friend. I have two!
